This part establishes a consumer product safety standard for gates and enclosures. § 1239.2 Requirements for gates and enclosures. Each gate and enclosure must comply with all applicable provisions of ASTM F1004-25, Standard Consumer Safety Specification for Expansion Gates and Expandable Enclosures, approved on December 1, 2025. The Director of the Federal Register approves this incorporation by reference in accordance with 5 U.S.C. 552(a) and 1 CFR part 51.
