Standard for the Surface Flammability of Carpets and Rugs (FF 1-70)

16 CFR Part 1630

16 CFR Part 1630 is Standard for the Surface Flammability of Carpets and Rugs (FF 1-70). To certify a product to it, 16 CFR 1110.11(a)(2) requires the rule to be stated separately on the certificate, written as "16 CFR Part 1630 — Standard for the Surface Flammability of Carpets and Rugs (FF 1-70)". The eCFR records this part as last amended on 2016-10-02.

How to cite this on a certificate

16 CFR 1110.11(a)(2) requires each applicable rule to be stated separately. Listing it like this satisfies the form of the requirement:

Citing a rule does not make it applicable, and 16 CFR 1110.11(a)(2) asks for every applicable rule. Whether this one applies to your product depends on its materials, construction and intended user age, which is your determination to make.
